Consultations

How many times do you get home from the makeup counter and wonder how to use everything you just bought? So often women get home with makeup that they don't know what to do with or they don't even know where to start with cosmetics in general. I love matching people with products that work for them or just helping them sift through what they already have at home. Makeup should be practical, understandable, and shouldn't intimidate.

What's in Your Drawers?  ~ $225

We will go through every item in your makeup drawer and find out what should go (colors/expired items) and what you can continue working with. After we're finished I'll give you a list of products that are a perfect fit for your lifestyle.

Touch of the Pro ~ $275

Everything from What's in Your Drawers? along with lessons in how to achieve both a day and evening look with the makeup you already have at home. I will personalize face charts* for both so you feel confident implementing the looks on your own.

Shop Til You Drop ~ $350

No need to navigate the makeup counters alone. Off we'll go together to find the products that will be appropriate for your day to day wear and there's no pressure with me as your buffer! The day ends with us walking through every item on a face chart you get to take home with you.

Add makeup application for $50.

Makeup Diva ~ $450

Everything from Touch of the Pro and Shop Til You Drop. The ultimate in personal one on one service - drawers cleaned, products picked, shopping, makeup lesson, face charts.

Boys Will Be Girls ~ $350

This is specifically for my lovely boys who like to go in drag. If you're new to the "genre" chances are that makeup is pretty intimidating and you're getting a lot of different opinions on what to do. Boys Will Be Girls is just for you! We'll talk about your character and figure out her look (according to what YOU want), chart it out, and I'll teach you how to do it yourself  so all those other girls will be swooning in their go-go boots!  Bottom line - we'll figure out your look, get a face chart for home, makeup application, and lesson.

Lifeline ~ $100 per month

After completing your service, you can have me at your beck and call with any questions you may have and updates on the latest products. I am fortunate to have access to many heads of cosmetic companies and PR companies to have the most up to date information. You're not alone!

Parties

Pro Party ~ $525, up to 6 women, $75 each additional woman

I will go through all of the most current makeup trends with everyone so we all feel up to date on what's new and happening. Then, everyone gets a makeup application with my kit of professional makeup so you can be informed AND glamourous!

Product Party ~ $625 , up to 6 womean, $100 each additional woman

Everyone totes along their makeup bags for a through "go through" session as we find what's working for you (and what isn't!) and I give you a list of things you should incorporate into your makeup kit at home. Then, everyone gets a makeup lesson specific to them that hits on whatever makeup venture you wish - from smoky eyes to luminous skin - we'll cover whatever you want!

Gift Certificates are available for all consultations.

* face charts are step by step "how to's" that show a picture of a face.  I diagram how we achieved your look so you can recreate it on your own.

Testimonials

"Whenever I am in New York City, the first thing I do is call Erin Williams for a Shop Til You Drop Session.  I can count on Erin to understand the looks I’m going for and to make them happen within my budget. She can do anything from flashy to wholesome and everything in between. She also knows every line of cosmetics thoroughly, so when I need advice on the best skincare for my needs, she is always prepared with useful, honest information.

I am trained as a makeup designer for the theater, so I spend a lot of time working on others’ looks. But when I need advice to look my best or am stuck on a project I’ve been hired to do, I call Erin….and I always encourage my stage makeup students to email her with questions regarding their own skincare issues."

- Kathleen Anderson Culebro, Stage Makeup Instructor - Texas Christian University/Artistic Director - Amphibian Productions, Shop Til You Drop/Lifeline

"My prior makeup artistry could only be described as time-warped – so I really appreciated Erin’s end product - me with a more current and more polished and flattering look.  She’s also given great advice on hydrating dry skin.  The best thing is that none of the “takeaways”  from the consultation were overly-time consuming or expensive, and it was easy to adapt them into my morning regimen."

- J. Williams, Makeup Diva/Lifeline

"I have known Erin for many years, I have seen her do countless makeup applications and also have had the pleasure of working with her in theater productions.  Her knowledge of stage make-up is impressive and she is generous to offer her advice to actors. As a fashion makeup artist, Erin has an extraordinary sense of style combined with keen perception for her clients needs and taste (and by the way, she is not one to do makeup the same way for different complexions or ages).  Another great asset of Erin's is that she does a tremendous amount of research, so she knows all the cosmetics and skin care products on the market and can recommend just the foundation or mascara, etc. for each person's specific skin type/coloring/etc.  I still use all of the products that she introduced me to.  Erin's positive energy is the opposite of stereotypical New York makeup artist, she is casual, relaxed yet very professional which at once puts one at ease so that she can do her work and you can have results that you are pleased with. "

- L. Barbata, Shop Til You Drop

"As a trans person and a performer, makeup application is an important part of my life.  I started with zero knowledge and always had to have makeup applied professionally before any show.  I have known Erin for only two years but I have learned so much from her.  Initially everything seemed very difficult and daunting.  Besides her artistic ability, Erins personality, kindness, and patience make working with her a completely different type of experience.  My comfort level has gone up tremendously with regards to eyes, lips, and understanding color.  She has taught me to apply makeup that enhances my face shape and personal style.  The time spent with her has been invaluable.  I value her friendship and knowledge very much and look forward to working with her in the future.  We are constantly refining and practicing."

- F. Contreras, Boys Will Be Girls
